With over 30 years of experience in arboriculture, horticulture, and landscape design, Heike Krauland is a trusted expert in creating and maintaining beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces. Her deep understanding of the natural world, combined with her creative background, positions her as a leader in sustainable landscaping and ornamental pruning.

Heike holds a Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources Management and a second Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, offering her a broad perspective on both ecological systems and human interaction with the environment. She also holds an Associate’s degree in Visual Arts, which complements her work in landscape design and ornamental pruning, allowing her to create aesthetically pleasing and harmonious outdoor spaces.

As a CT Certified  Arborist, Heike specializes in ornamental pruning, skillfully shaping  shrubs to enhance their natural beauty while maintaining their structural integrity. Heike’s career also includes her role as an Inventory Manager at a premier wholesale nursery, where she successfully managed over 800 different plant species. Her extensive knowledge of plants,  has enabled her to curate diverse and thriving landscapes.

Her passion for plants and the natural world is matched by her commitment to sustainable practices, and she is deeply dedicated to creating landscapes that not only beautify but also contribute to the well-being of the environment always choosing the native option when possible/desirable.
